Funny how time flies by

Well, I started out tonight with big plans to churn out a bunch of crafts. Instead, I spent about 90 minutes wandering around Hobby Lobby before buying about $12 in craft supplies – some paper, embroidery thread, a pattern and a refill for my sticker machine. Then I ran back home, before realizing that my my one travel mug is still falling apart despite numerous …

Finally!

I’ve finally got two blank cards and two sets of three cards listed in my Etsy shop! It wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might be, and it would be a heck of a lot easier if I could figure out how to batch upload or upload an item for sale based off a previous item listed. (There has to be a way…) Now, …

You can find anything on Etsy!

Check out what arrived in my mailbox this afternoon – a Therapeutic Moist Heat Combination Flaxseed and Rice Neck Wrap Eye Pillow Set Lavender Scented with Amy Butler Fabric. It is AWESOME! I’ve been having a ton of neck/shoulder pain that just doesn’t seem to get better, so I thought I’d give this a try. And really, let’s be honest, who could see this great …

My custom made stamp came!

The stamp I’d ordered from Terbear Collectibles arrived yesterday in the mail. Today, I broke out the ink and started stamping the 50 or so cards I have on hand, waiting to go. I have to say, the stamp looks awesome! I’d wanted it in the same font as the rest of my promotional material (pharmacy, for those of you who are font aficionados) and …

More eye candy

Here’s another version of my patchwork cards – this time in a soothing gray/blue/green color combinations. I love the different patterns and how the stitching jumps off the white card stock. Still waiting on my jennadesigns.etsy.com stamp to arrive in the mail… hopefully tomorrow and then I can start stamping the back of the cards and listing them on my site. It’s slow going, but …

And in other news…

About half way through my week-long vacation, while hiking in the woods, lugging camera gear and a tripod on a beautiful trail after having photographed a breathtaking waterfall, I had something of an epiphany: I was quitting my job upon my return. Strangely, as soon as the thought popped into my mind, I was calm, knowing it was the right thing to do. I had …

“Quilted” Cards

Here are some of my first cards that will be available at my Etsy shop. They are patchwork cards, quilted with lime green thread in a zig-zag stitch. I think they are super summery and fun. They look especially sweet in their own poly bag with envelope. I image they’d also look nice framed, as no two cards are exactly alike, they’re all variations of …

Back from vacation!

After a lovely 9 days without work, I regretfully went back to the office today. I’d like to say I had a productive vacation in the terms of product development/production, but it was more a time to think – reflect on what is really important in my life and determine what direction I want it to take … largely, whether I’m going to be in …

Vacation

Well, I’ll be back in about 10 days… I’m going to disappear and have myself a little adventure for the forseeable future. I’ve packed my SLR camera, tripod and bag full of lenses, so it’s shooting I go, in search of the beauty that’s inherently in nature. I’ve also packed myself one box of “craft” supplies which I’ve allowed myself to play with while gone …

Boy are my feed dogs tired!

It’s finally done being stitched. Since it’s a ragtime quilt, now I have to cut all the seams and find time to throw it in the washer (maybe over one of my lunch hours). What’s great about this is that I can now move on to working on some of my Etsy stuff I’ve been planning in my head. As soon as these seams are …
