I have a yummy treat for you this morning – No Bake Peanut Butter Cranberry Energy Bites! These have been something of a staple in my house, especially since having Ella 18 months ago and learning that flax seed can help boost milk production. I ate these, non-stop, for a year! Even though I’ve long since weaned her, these are still popping up in my fridge – one of the best things I make, according to my 13-year-old son.

  • ¾ cup Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • ½ cup protein granola (look in the cereal isle), I prefer chocolate peanut butter
  • ½ cup ground flax seed
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter

These are super easy and everything you need can be found at your local grocery store. I use Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries to make my energy bites extra tasty – they add that special zing! Here’s a great resource for additional recipes with Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries.

While you may have noticed they’re no longer being carried by Sam’s Clubs, I was able to find them at my local Wal-Mart, where not only were they a Rollback item marked at $4.98, but the package came with a $1 off coupon! They are located in the baking isle with many of the other ingredients for this recipe.

  • Mix together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • When combined, add peanut butter and honey.
  • Mix until fully combined.
  • Refrigerate one hour.
  • When hardened, use hands to roll into round balls.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator.
  • (Yield – about 18)

If your household is anything like mine, your family will go through these in no time flat and you’ll find that making a double batch is the way to go! I love that with the addition of Ocean Spray® Craisins® Original Dried Cranberries, you can sneak some healthy fruit into an otherwise sinfully good healthy snack that your children are sure to love!
