Last night was a full moon – the Pink Moon in Libra. Of course, I had to pull a spread from my favorite tarot deck, the Lumina Tarot. I was curious what the cards held for me this lunar cycle. I also had a beautiful bouquet of pink roses that were just past their prime … perfect for including in this reading along with my clear quartz points. Cards 1-5 are along the top and number 6 is bottom center. (Questions and layout courtesy of Alice @lakshmi_rose_ on Instagram.)

Card 1: The Tower
How can I strive to achieve a more balanced life? The Tower has always been an ominous card in my mind as it represents destruction.
“The Tower appears often when it seems as though your world is crumbling. As the structures of your internal and external world crumble, ask yourself – what do I really want? What does my heart desire? What no longer works for me? What do I need to let go of? What direction must I move towards?”
This card is telling me I need to address the things in my life that are no longer working for me and take active steps to change them, examining where I want to go as I transition into this new direction. I need to sit with myself and take stock of my life and decide once and for all where I want it to go. Once I know this, then I can begin moving in that direction, which will hopefully lead to a more balanced life.
Card 2: 2 of Cups
Advice on how I can reconnect with my higher self during this full moon. The 2 of Cups is a card of balance and harmony, of yin and yang.
“There is a natural ebb and flow, give and take synergy between oneself and another – be that an intimate relationship or financial or professional harmony – ensuring that there is balance within oneself and one’s life.”
This is a card of love and a welcome sight. It’s encouraging me to develop a connection with another or myself that rejuvenates the soul and flows into all areas of my life. It’s telling me that I’m ready to love myself as I am and I need to call on the universe to let more love in.
Card 3: 3 of Wands
How can I nurture a better, more loving relationship with my partner/friend/family member during this time? The 3 of Wands is a card about expanding your horizons.
“New opportunities lie ahead and you have the visionary insight to recognize them – even more than that, to conjure them up! Use this time to connect with the people and institutions that will support you in moving forward.”
This card calls for me to keep an open mind and embrace the change that is afoot, looking not only at short-term goals, but long-term ones as well. I’m to remember that these ideas I encounter will likely add a depth and richness to my life and ventures. I have a new venture on the horizon with my husband and I believe this card is telling me it a journey we should pursue together as we will grow together as it unfolds.
Card 4: The Emperor
What is coming to fruition for me this full moon? The Emperor is a card of personal authority and responsibility.
“You are being called to create structure and stability through your own means and on your own terms within your world. It is time to stand strong within yourself, owning who you are and what you represent, bold in your visions and life rules.”
This is a card signifying new growth, new beginnings. It means I may be beginning to see momentum and respect for my offerings within my own business, perhaps as I grow my blog, online community and develop e-courses. This card is calling on me to buckle down, take responsibility for where I am in life and use my desires to go after what I see as my future.
Card 5: 2 of Swords
In what area of my life does the moon wish to shed some light? The 2 of Swords is a card of choice.
“There are decisions to be made and you may be feeling torn as to which direction to take. Running away from making a choice has you sitting outside of your own personal power and it is time to step up to the plate and make the best decision for yourself and where you are right now.”
This card encourages me that while there is no right or wrong answer, from my decision will come movement. It encourages me to make peace with myself and come back into my own power, restoring balance. I know exactly where this card applies to my life and am already making decisions to put myself back in power. A very fitting card for this question.
Card 6: The Heirophant
What is my theme card for this Full Pink Moon? The Heirophant is a good card, in my mind. It represents authority outside of traditional structures.
“Often, this means exploring esoteric and spiritual practices and wisdom or alternative lifestyle choices or simply actively choosing to disengage from some of the strong beliefs that have been holding you captured within your life and self.”
The Heirophant comes at a time when one is ready to expand their knowledge in a particular area or step out of the boundaries they have set themselves. It is important to stay open to new ideas and principles. A time to explore alchemy, ceremonies, rituals, rites of passage and new learning through workshops. This is the month that I would really like to explore meditation and yoga, expanding my mind and allowing ritual into my life.
Once again, this deck has not let me down. The cards I drew were all very appropriate for where I am today and the visions I have for the future. I’ve been struggling with some personal issues and I know that now is time to release them, to trust myself and know that I will come out the other side stronger and wiser for the experience. The Pink Moon is telling me now is the time to act.
